Here’s a little secret for you: basil is one of the most popular herbs in our Sprout pencils and you don’t need green fingers to grow it!

A member of the mint family, thyme is known for promoting calm and serenity, which is why we included it in our Mindful Thoughts edition.

Coriander, or cilantro, has a flavor that divides opinions. But not here at Sprout – we’re a big fan of coriander and use it in several of our pencil editions.

It’s part of our ‘Plant a Tree’ edition and is a prime example of the circular economy – write with a pencil made from a spruce tree, and then plant it at the end of its life to grow another.

Sweet and plucky, these little jewels are easy to grow on a windowsill or in a sheltered garden, and even easier to eat! After a few months they are ready to eat.
