Cherry Tomato
Sweet and plucky, these little jewels are easy to grow on a windowsill or in a sheltered garden, and even easier to eat! Most cherry tomato plants start flowering within a month, with flowers that turn into little green fruit. A few weeks later, you’ll be sinking your teeth into your very own home-grown cherry tomato.
How to use it
Eat them fresh from the plant, add them to salads or make them into soups and sauces – whichever way you do it, eating these antioxidant-rich tomatoes is good for you. A truly ripe cherry tomato will come off its stem very easily and is well worth waiting an extra day for, so hold off on picking them until they're ripe.
The best thing about cherry tomatoes: the taste!
